“Walking the Straight Path” camp in KMLC

A junior youth camp was held in Kota Marudu Learning Centre (KMLC) from 6th to 8th June 2007. There were 38 junior youth from Pitas, Kota Marudu, Kota Kinabalu, and Sandakan. The camp was organized by National Junior Youth Coordinators and Northern Region Coordinators, with the help of 22 animators. The programs throughout the camp were based on the junior youth book “Walking the Straight Path”. The youth studied four lessons from the book and collaborated in various supplementary activities such as drawing visual aids, puppet show, drama, composing songs, games, choir, and etc.

All animators and junior youth were happy and a lot of learning has been gained by the coordinators as well. Thanks to all animators who have contributed to the success of the camp. At the end of the camp, the participants all decided that we will have another camp in the upcoming August school holidays. Therefore, a “Junior Youth Arts Festival” will be held from 18th to 20th August 2007. See you there!!
