Activities

1. YOUTH GATHERING

The Terraces of Youth members meet on Fridays, 8:15 p.m. at Sabah Baha’i Centre. Activities such as study of youth development materials, dance practices, choir practices, dramas/skits, and arts workshops are held regularly in these gatherings. Now, the youths are studying the book “Properties” with the help of Mr. Kang Eng Soo. This book has opened the eyes of the youth to new information and learning. If you are in our locality, please do give us a SURPRISE visit. You are always welcome!

2. HOSPITAL VISITS

The hospital visit is a collaborative effort of the Terraces of Youth and the Local Spiritual Assembly of Kota Kinabalu. These visits to the hospital is a very experiencial service project for the youth. They learn to console the sick and ill. Learn to appreciate health. Learn to give joy to the children’s hearts.

We pay visits to the Children’s Wad of Queen Elizabeth Hospital, giving gifts and find ways to rejoice their hearts. We also offer chanting of prayers, such as Healing Prayer, Prayer for Children, and Assistance Prayer. On the other hand, the children will always be entertained by the cute and active songs sung by the us.

There was once, the doctor of the children’s wad took out his own guitar and played our song. Some parents came over to us and requested us to teach the songs to them, so that they could sing them to their children. While singing, some children stood on their beds and jump with delight, dancing with the flow of the song.

We realised that this service to the needy should be done regularly because not only are the hearts of the children and their parents rejoiced, but our hearts too are enlightened!
